GPS – Mobile Phone
The system of being able to locate anyone, anywhere, at anytime with a tracking device is called global positioning service, or more offhandedly, GPS. Global positioning has been only available in the early folds of the 21st century, but the indispensability of it is starting to make the service an essential part of daily living for almost any individual.
GPS trackers are mostly inserted into cell phones, as most people have used cellphones both for convenience and utility. Mobile phones are becoming an all purpose item for every little item, like surfing the internet, browsing on the radio, taking pictures, or just plain taking to a friend, sending an SMS and like for like. The only thing cell phones couldn’t do is probably the windows.
In the recent years, more and more are purchasing mobile phones due to its ability to be tracked. Cell phones have taken a lead in the recent years, from just being a poor man’s dream to becoming an average man’s necessity. A few times in our history when people have gone missing, or when people are in an unreachable place, it was only through the cell phone that we were able to remain in contact. There is the sense of security attached to the cell phone.
Mobile phones were able to provide what other devices failed to give or didn’t give at all; security. The times spent not being able to maintain contact with your loved ones or knowing their condition or whereabouts is solved through a simple phone call. The need for communication is also fulfilled thanks to cell phones. Humans are fairly social creatures that need communication. With improving technology that has made it possible for cell phone production, it’s not a wonder that cell phones are revolutionizing communication in the end of the last century.
With the installment of the global positioning system, the innovation of mobile phones had shot up a level higher. With the rise of technology, it is not only mobile phones that are using GPS but also watches and cars. The watches are mostly used by campers and hikers. Cars use GPS to assist drivers in locating the place that they desire.
