Google Android is Going to be Ahead of the Competition

The technology industry has been buzzing recently about Android and all the possibilities that the mobile platform offers it’s users. It seems to be gaining momentum.

It’s only recently that the platform has set the mobile world a buzz as it has come into it’s own, allowing it to compete with the big guns already in the market.

Android is the big player that everyone seems to be talking about but why is that so?

Android lets anyone get involved. Any developer can develop an app for Android and put it into the Android store. Its made it a really open device for Android Developers and the general public because they have a great choice of applications that just weren’t available before.

Developers can really get involved with Android and that’s what Google says the platform is all about, it’s all about helping developers produce the best they can.

The thing about Android is that it is not specific to one handset and one manufacturer. Android is open and that is what Google is hoping will make it become the market leader and default mobile operating system.

It has been and continues to be important for Google to work with developers to help them produce apps that are the best they can produce and top quality. There is no point in the Android platform having apps that are the same as every other platform and device out there, the challenge is to make them better.

Openness for developers is important for Google Android and that is great for developers because it can get their apps to a wider audience, especially as Android takes off. Some developers in the beginning had to hedge bets on Android being a success when they started developing applications, but hopefully that is paying off now for them as Android becomes more popular.

At the time of writing, Android Market, which is Android’s app store is growing faster than any other mobile app store in competition with it. It’s even growing faster that Apples own store for the iPhone.

This growth is a really good indicator that Android is serious competition for Apple and the iPhone. Before this growth most people in the industry knew that Android had a chance at success but people weren’t quite sure.

No-one can accurately predict the future but what we can say is that Android is part of the furniture now, especially as far as smart phones go.

Android Developers are particularly in demand from businesses wanting an Android app to showcase their product to the mobile world and to get involved in the mobile world, especially as it’s growing and will become more saturated in the future.

The place to be at the moment is developing apps for Android. Those looking to learn a skill that is in demand now and will be in demand more in the future would do well to look at Android for inspiration.
