Also, in shallow water it cuts through the clutter and makes it easier to see the fish at that shallow water depth. This is the usual depth that the average angler fishes.
The monochrome fish finder just shows the bait balls and the arches, not the density under the boat. It only shows them in black, which makes it harder to differentiate between the bottom and what is actually fish. Also, the monochrome fishfinder choices usually come in smaller size screens than that of the color fish finder models.
